This doesn't really count as "baking" since all that is required is mixing and freezing--but we love this recipe and wanted to share it. SO EASY to make. And these treats are tummy friendly. The probiotics in the yogurt are great for the digestive tract. Pumpkin has great nutritional value, is tummy-friendly and as an added bonus helps prevent stinky dog farts. That alone makes this recipe worth posting. IMPORTANT NOTE: make sure to check with your vet if your dog has never eaten these ingredients before. Some dogs do go dairy free.

RECIPE
EASY FROZEN DOG TREATS
Ingredients
1/2 cup plain unsweetened yogurt
1/2 cup canned pumpkin--no spices or other ingredients
NOTE: This recipe works on a 1:1 ratio--so feel free to increase to 1 cup or decrease in equal amounts of each ingredient.
Instructions
Mix together the pumpkin and yogurt
Spread into an ice cube tray, silicon mold or baking dish
TIP: You can brush with olive oil for easier removal later
Freeze overnight
Pop out and store in a bag or container in your freezer. Let your pup enjoy these 1 or 2 at a time. Too much at once could cause brain freeze, or a big mess.

EQUIPMENT: You can use ice cube trays but there are also some very cute silicon molds out there in dog-themed shapes. You can also use the PUPPY LOVE baking pan from Nordic Ware to make bone shaped treats. When using the pan, be sure to brush the shapes with olive oil before adding the yogurt/pumpkin mixture.
VARIATION: You can add 1/2 of a mashed banana recipe (using 1/2 cup of each ingredient)
