The genius behind our theme song, Britt is a legend in the NC music scene. You may have seen him perform with his long-time friend Ben Folds. He's also a hero in the independent music world, giving him thousands of loyal and loving fans (but not an overwhelming amount of commercial attention). Check out his music! We are sure you won't be disappointed.

harwichport, ma
For over 25 years, Jake's has been a local favorite--and they're open year-round. Great food and a relaxed atmosphere. This is one of the few restaurants on the east coast that has the unique stone grill experience. You have to try it. Also home to my absolute favorite lobster stew!

#3: UKUPAPA
supporting zambian orphans through artistry
A unique partnership between former Peace Corps volunteers and Busalo, an organization that provides education and housing for children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in Zambia. Their online store has gorgeous, colorful goods at very reasonable prices. Visit their site to learn more about them and the Zambian artists who make the beautiful bags and jewelry!

#4: ziggy's kitchens
Our kitchen is definitely a place of love. And we receive so many nice compliments on it. We are so thankful to Ziggy's Kitchens! Ziggy is a true craftsman who has great insight and artistry. And, unlike a lot of other companies, he's there, at your home, doing the work himself. We hated the idea of "wasting" the solid wood cabinets that we had, and Ziggy was able to improve and reface them. We are SO HAPPY with our kitchen! If you're fortunate enough to live in NJ, check him out for your next kitchen project!

#5: HOME AT LAST DOG RESCUE
We are often asked where we found Tyson. Or maybe I should say, where Tyson found us?
Both Tyson and Emmylou were adopted from the wonderful Home At Last Dog Rescue! Based in Lansdale, PA, this dynamic team of volunteers works to get dogs out of high kill shelters and puppy mills in the Philadelphia area and get them ready for a happy life with a loving new owner! Tyson wants to suggest this very handsome boy, Dozer--maybe they're related?
